City of Everett
Marketing Communications Intern
May 2019 - December 20219
Among my favorite positions, my internship with the City of Everett offered an emphasis on tourism, highlighting the unique aspects of Everett from an insider’s perspective. In addition to keeping up the City of Everett’s website and community calendar, and assisting with social media, I also pioneered and lead the “Made in Everett” series which provided stories that gave a unique, inside look at the small businesses, and business owners in Everett.
The City of Everett Brand
About the Brand
From a tourism perspective, the City of Everett has positioned itself as the perfect stopping spot. Positioned midway between Vancouver, B.C. and Seattle, Everett offers a place to take a break from the drive, enjoy the waterfront, and shop the plethora of small businesses. The new, and convinenetly lowcated Paine Field Airport offers a quick and convenient spot to fly into or out of. Lauch your adventures today, from the mountains to the sound, the wander is calling.
My Role & Startegy
Using my passion for storytelling, and putting my journalism skills to work with my admiration for small businesses, I had the most delightful opportunity to get to know local Everett business owners more intimately, telling their stories, from the struggles to the the triumps, and showcasing why they chose to strike out on their own, and what keeps them passionate about serving the Everett community.
